Elite K9 Care, Fertility & Whelping Specialists is an independent, established business based in our purpose-built canine fertility clinic in Bilston, West Midlands.

Since 6 April 2016, all dogs in England, Scotland and Wales must be microchipped. The only exception to this law for pet dogs is for those who a vet believes should not be chipped for health reasons. Owners who do not get their dog microchipped and registered with an approved database face a fine of up to £500.

Once registered on their secure database, keeping your pets microchip details up to date is simple and can be done online.
On the 12/05/2021 the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) announced that microchipping will become compulsory for cats in the United Kingdom as part of an Action Plan for Animal Welfare. The plan includes legislation to protect farm animals, pets, sporting animals and wild animals.
From kittens to older cats, microchipping your cat offers the best chance of being returned to you if they are lost or stolen. Microchips are safe, easy to implant and effective. Microchips cannot be taken off or lost like collars and ID tags.
